What Do We Need to Do to Achieve a Societal Transformation That Takes Biodiversity into Account?
Day one, we will primarily focus on the various reasons that make societal transformation necessary from a biodiversity perspective.

Based on international discussions regarding the need for a societal transformation, this panel will reflect upon how transformative Swedish biodiversity governance is. What next steps are required to strengthen implementation and ensure society meets both national and international commitments? And what are the barriers to transformation? The discussion will provide different perspectives on the question.

Day two, we will delve deeper into different methods and pathways that can lead to a societal change that is needed How do we create societal understanding of the need for biodiversity? How do we change land and water use, government administration, market influence, or public awareness to benefit biodiversity?

Who Is Responsible for Carrying Out the Societal Transformation Towards an Approach that Considers Biodiversity?
Someone has to drive the change! But should it be the politicians, the authorities, the land-based industries, the business sector, or the public and its non-profit organisations that act as the driving force? The symposium's final day will mainly focus on different collaborations between actors to push the transformation process forward.

In the final panel, we'll talk to some of the people who can enable disruptive change. Who is driving the change and what is holding it back? And what do different groups of actors need from each other?
