Collaborative efforts for biodiversity and ecosystem services: A pledge in action

Session 20

How can we mobilize businesses, cities, and academia to join forces for biodiversity? In Gothenburg, several large companies, the City, and Gothenburg University have launched Handslaget för biologisk mångfald och ekosystemtjänster (Bee-Go) – a pledge to act together for biodiversity and ecosystem services.

This session highlights how Bee-Go came into being, what it has achieved so far, and how it can inspire similar pledges in other regions, sectors, and countries. Participants will hear from signatory organisations about their commitments and actions, learn about new signatories joining the pledge, and take part in a forward-looking discussion about the future of business–biodiversity collaboration.

The aim is to inspire and enable participants to create their own biodiversity pledges, scale impact, and build connections across borders.
